WHO WE ARE

BORACAY OPTION TOURS AND TRAVEL SERVICES INC. is a domestic corporation created by the virtue of law of the Philippines, with office address in Boracay, Philippines. We provide educational, business, leisure and travel related services to both local and foreign entities who wish to train, invest and or experience the beauty of Boracay. The company is being managed by a respectable Filipino businessman who have years of experience traveling, studying and living abroad, therefore understanding the needs and interests of a wide variety of clients.

Our company, formerly known as the RUSSIAN INFO CENTER- BORACAY, is a pioneer in developing land tour programs in Panay island and originally catered mostly to Russian-speaking nationalities. After a year, due to increasing market demand, we have expanded our services by promoting new travel destinations in Boracay and Panay. We have developed new, unique, interactive, informative and customer-tailored tour packages. Because of this, the former center was upgraded into a corporation thus converting it to BORACAY OPTION TOURS & TRAVEL SERVICES INC, which was registered to SEC on May 2010. 

To date we have further expanded our services by establishing the Hacienda Maria Agro-Eco Park in Buruanga, Panay island, which is one of the most frequently requested day tour in Boracay. Aside from this, we are also organizing beach weddings and coordinating trainings for HRM and Tourism students. Furthermore, we are also working hand in hand with other travel agencies in the Philippines  who do not have such tour packages like our’s. Now, we cater services not only to Russians but to a wide variety of tourists, academe, corporate and locals. 

CREATION OF BORACAY OJT

In 2011, there was a boom in the number of foreign clients for Boracay Option. In addition, we have also developed new activities in Boracay and opened new tourist destinations in the nearby provinces. It is during these times when we met some trainees undergoing practicum in Boracay who were complaining about the poor quality of their training program and very high training fees. We pondered about this for some time and about those trainees, who inspired us to take the next big step for our company.

Several months later, we tied-up with Bulacan State University to provide training exclusively for their BS Tourism students. So we invited a handful of trainees from BulSU Tourism Department to undergo practicum within our company in order to augment the man power needs of the operation department, and at the same time to help the poor students be given the opportunity for appropriate, affordable and enjoyable training program in Boracay. Bearing in mind that our out most intent is that our trainees would be given better fighting chance in the competitive world of labor market, we began to draft the training policies and packages which focused on appropriateness, affordability and safety of the program, as well as hand-on exposures, skills enhancement, development of new skills, professionalism and ethics of the trainees.

After a few months, the Coordinator of BulSU together with other faculty members arrived to Boracay to check and monitor all their trainees. During this time, they have BS Tourism trainees in our company, which we coordinated, and they also have other trainees (HRM students) in hotels which were coordinated by another agency.  The HRM students paid to the other agency a sum of 35,000 pesos/trainee for the training, while our BS Tourism trainees paid us significantly lower price than this. Moreover, BulSU applauded our program for their Tourism students as “effective, hands on, appropriate, affordable, informative and enjoyable”. And since our company handles mostly international inbound tourists, we have reputable and high category partner hotels in the island which provide world class accommodation for our foreign clients. These are 4-5 star hotels and resorts in Boracay which are usually preferred by foreign tourists. Knowing these potentials of our company, BulSU understood that their trainees could be well accommodated in such hotels with high standard, thus bringing quality and competitive training skills to their trainees. Aside from this, our company is Boracay based, unlike other agencies which are based mostly in Manila. This gives us capability to monitor the students regularly and personally, thereby addressing arising concerns as timely as possible. 

As a result, BulSU requested us to mutually develop a comprehensive training program specially designed not only for BS Tourism but for their HRM students as well.  The training program will focus not only on being appropriate, multifaceted, hands on, safe, informative and enjoyable but affordable as well so that poor but deserving students could avail of it too. So after several weeks of close coordination with BulSU were able to launch the BORACAY OJT training program.

To date, there were more than 2,000 trainees who availed and benefited from this program and our partner academe are continuously growing from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Furthermore, we have also taken an extended step by helping our trainees who performed outstandingly during the program by helping them get hired in our partner establishments. We are also hand-in-hand with partner academe and training establishments in developing outstandingly skilled and highly professional future Hotel Managers through this program.
