Why Choose BOTTS

ADVANTAGES OF TRAINING UNDER BOTTS THAN OTHER AGENCY

1. Our company, Boracay Option Tours & Travel Services Inc. (BOTTS) is a Boracay based travel agency, all our staff from Executive to Operation Department are residing in Boracay, therefore this gives us edge to monitor personally all our trainees regularly. Because of this, we could promptly and timely address arising concerns and emergencies if any. Other agencies who are also offering training in Boracay are either Manila or Cebu based. Their Representatives are in Boracay only when they are accompanying students during deployment and after finishing the training. They do not have the capability to monitor their trainees during the course of training neither respond to emergency situations due to their distant location.

2. Our company has long years of experiences with regards to providing travel and leisure services to foreign tourists from Europe, America and Australia. This gives us edge to become partners with 4-5 star hotels in Boracay which are preferred by these tourists rather than budget type resorts with compromised quality of service. We transact only with hotels which are of good reputation, have good track record in serving international clients, have good reviews from actual clients and are accredited by the Department of Tourism. We are using all these data to identify which hotel is suitable as training establishment for our trainees. Through this approach, we could be assured that our trainees could gain the necessary skills in serving international clients as required by European standard. Other Manila or Cebu based companies lack or has limited partner hotels in Boracay. Basically these are companies who are handling local field trips and educational tours. Due to limited and poor bench-marking, their trainees end up to budget type hotels who are serving mostly Filipinos and Chinese. This approach negatively affects the quality of training because the students will be exposed to low quality service.

3. Our company does not transact with hotels which require training fee for students. We do not want our trainees to pay the establishment just to be accommodated, like the case of BS Nursing students. Most hotels which are requiring training fee are accepting excessive quantity of students to get big revenue. This practice gravely affects the quality of training where the students are over-crowded or some end up doing insignificant assignments. As a matter of fact, there is this instance where a certain university from Southern Luzon deployed their trainees to a hotel in Boracay for 300 hours training. After 2 weeks, the hotel signed and released the training certificates wherein it is stated that the trainees have finished the training for 300 hrs, where in fact the trainees reported to duty for only 5 hours a day for 12 consecutive days. This is unacceptable and inequitable for the students who paid for training to satiate their hunger for knowledge and skills.

4. Our company even extends voluntary service to trainees after they finished the training program by helping outstanding and potential students get hired to our partner establishments. We also give trainees valuable advice on possible career paths to take and the importance of professional ethics, thus helping them master their skills and progress for future promotion.   Other agencies end their service upon finishing the availed training program.

5. The Tourism students who undergo training within our company (BOTTS) undergo hands-on and varied training which gives them opportunity to acquire skills not only on facilitating tours, but organizing events and handling MICE as well. This will give them extra edge in competing with other job seekers.
